Job Description:
DutiesThis position is located in the Division of Dam Safety
Inspection, Office of Energy Projects, in the DC, Portland, or San
Francisco Office locations.As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) some of
your typical work assignments may include:Performing security
inspections independently, participating in internal and external
security exercises and conducting surveys and risk analyses of
operational engineering functions.Documenting findings and
communicating recommendations based on the project's vulnerability
assessment, security assessment, and security plans.Communicating
the findings and recommendations from the inspection with the
licensee and creating training on the FERC Security Program for
Hydropower Projects.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must
be a U.S. Citizen or National.A one-year probationary period may be
required.A background investigation is required.This is a
bargaining unit position.Generally, male applicants must be
registered with the Selective Service.If using education to
qualify, you must submit transcripts.Relocation expenses will not

year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13
-level. Specialized experience is defined as: -analyzing and
developing recommendations for cyber security issues at critical
infrastructure facilities. -Experience refers to paid and unpaid
experience, including volunteer work done through National Service
programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations
(e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual;
community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical
competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable
training and experience that translates directly to paid
employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience,
including any volunteer experience.This position requires you to
