Job Description:
Hello Amazonians! AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product
innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple
Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to
consistently released new product innovations that continue to set
AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of
the UC organization, you'll support the development and management
of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform,
and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for
customers who require specialized security solutions for their
cloud services. We are looking for an L5 TPM (will consider other
L5 technical roles) to join the Region Build team. This role is
specifically to support new region, AZ and Local Zone build
activities, to include driving delivery of mandatory services in
new regions.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with Service Teams,
Infrastructure and Business Development to design and deliver new
AWS regions. You will collaborate with Product Teams to design
solutions that make efficient use of resources and technologies.
You will work with all stakeholders to develop schedules that
ensure timely launch of new regions. You will assess risks,
anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, make difficult
trade-off decisions, and balance business needs and technical
constraints. Successful candidates will have a strong technical
background, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving
abilities. You will have a deep understanding of distributed system
design and delivery. You will successfully represent program status
senior leadership. Your program management expertise and
operational excellence will influence the team's decisions and
drive secure and scalable solutions. You should be passionate about
delivering great customer experiences and researching and
developing new region build methodologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of technical product or program
management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope,
schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path
management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams,
building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of working directly with
