qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20010
About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Lead Job Specialty:
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years in SICU
and teaching hospital experience required. License: DC license
required. Pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to
start date. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - National Institutes of Health
Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: - Completion of 1 prior travel
assignment - Experience with pulmonary artery lines, IV starts, and
phlebotomy preferred - Neuro ICU certification preferred Job
Description: - Work within a short-term acute care teaching
hospital environment. - Provide care in one of the top 50 heart and
vascular centers in the country. - Responsible for a
nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2. - Proficiency in Cerner charting
system. - Experience with special equipment such as Continuous
Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Bolt, and External Ventricular
Drain (EVD) is required. - Required to float within units of
equivalent or lower acuity levels. - Flexibility to work every
other weekend and provide holiday coverage as needed. - Adherence
to required flu vaccination policy, no exemptions allowed. -
Completion of 28-hour orientation is required. - Required to wear
ceil blue scrubs, which are not provided. Additional Information: -
