• Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Preferred: TNCC
• Unit certifications: Braum IV pumps, Servo & Hamilton ventilators

  • ICU RN for WV
  • 13-week contract
  • Night shift 7p-730a, every other weekend
    • Job Requirements
    • ICLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC
    • COVID vaccine required
    • Submission Requirements: Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system, Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility, Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years, Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM
      • Requires every-other-weekend work
      • Uses Kronos to enter schedule requests
      • Possibility of block scheduling if specified in the contract
        • Unit Specific Information
        • 20-Bed ICU (MICU/SICU/Neuro)
        • Average daily census: around 16-17/day
        • Ratios: 1:1-2 for ICU, 1:3 for Stepdown
        • Nurse Aides: nursing students and nurse externs may be present
        • Weekend Requirement: Every-other-weekend
        • Scrub Color: Navy blue
        • Tele/Monitor Techs: No techs, monitoring equipment integrated with EPIC
        • Floors: Typically travel nurses do not float outside of the ICU
          • Additional Details
          • ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, and PALS (AHA) are required
          • COVID vaccination or appropriate exemption is required
          • Travelers can only submit to one position at a time throughout the WVU system
          • Shift details: 12-hour shifts, orientation with a preceptor
