Job Description:

Neustar, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer II in Sterling, VA

Duties: Design, develop, deploy, document and support software

applications. Participate in and lead design and code reviews. Develop

front-end portals and user interfaces using various web technologies

including HTML, JSF, JSP, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS and JQuery. Develop

application software using technologies such as Java/J2EE, Spring, EJB,

Python, C++ and database technologies including JPA and Hibernate on MySQL

DB. Develop web services APIs for products using various technologies

including REST, SOAP, WSDL, and XML Beans. Develop new programs and proof

programs to assure quality production. Analyze bug-fixes including

performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of issues. Work with QA teams to

stabilize and complete project functionality. Prepare Design Documents,

Flowcharts, ER Diagrams, and High Level and Low Level Design Documents for

various telecom applications. Full-stack application deployment,

maintenance and operational support.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of

experience performing Java/J2EE software development of enterprise

applications, OR, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign

equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information

Systems or related field and five (5) years of experience as indicated

above.

Special Requirements:

Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): in developing in multiple

languages, including Python, C++, Java/J2EE with Spring Framework, HTML,

CSS, REST, SOAP, JSP, EJB, JavaScript, AngularJS and JQuery; DE utilizing

JPA and Hibernate to configure web applications on JBoss and Tomcat

application servers; DE performing database design and developing, table

structures, complex queries, indexes, partitions, procedures, triggers, and

functions using SQL specifically in MySQL and Oracle; DE building,

integrating, developing, and testing applications using tools such as

Maven, Chef, and Ansible, and continuous integration with Jenkins; DE

performing automation testing using Selenium and developing test plans; DE

in DevOps, providing application support, monitoring, troubleshooting and

day-to-day operations along with full-stack development; and DE interfacing

with customers, end users, and product owners to perform requirements

gathering and troubleshooting.
